Lotte Giants’ “resignation idol” Kim Min-seok (19) has become a “sold out” player 안전놀이터.
According to the Lotte Giants, Kim Min-seok was the first player to sell out of the 2023 Player Action T-shirts sold on the team’s official online store, Giants Shop.
Lotte has been releasing and selling T-shirts featuring the faces, performances, and numbers of key players who have been performing well for Lotte this season since March 19.
As of the morning of the 23rd, all sizes of Kim Min-seok’s No. 2 jersey were sold out and unavailable at the Giants Shop. Kim is the only one of the nine players (Hwang Sung-bin, Jeon Jun-woo, Ahn Chi-hong, Park Se-woong, Han Dong-hee, Yoo Kang-nam, Kim Won-joong, and Kim Seung-min) whose t-shirts are still listed as “out of stock”.
Kim Min-seok has been playing well for the Lotte Giants this season, serving as their starting center fielder and leadoff hitter. Lotte Giants fans have been showing a lot of support for him. As a result of their support, Kim has become the No. 1 selling jersey among Lotte players (as of May 11), taking over from Lee Dae-ho, who was the No. 1 selling jersey for many years.
After a multi-hit performance in a home game against the SSG Landers on May 21, Kim has been playing well as a leadoff hitter, batting .260 (104-for-27) with 13 RBIs and one home run as of May 22.
