Korean alpine skier Jeong Dong-hyun (35, High1 Resort) won the 2022-23 season International Ski Federation Far East Cup slalom two days in a row.
Jeong Dong-hyun won the men’s slalom held at the Alpensia Resort Ski Resort in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do on the 3rd with a total time of 1 minute 31 seconds 38 in the first and second rounds, beating the second place (Japan, Seigo Kato) by 2 seconds 08 seconds. The third place (Poland JASICZEK Jedrzej) is 1:33:52.
Jeong Dong-hyun ranked 21st in the men’s alpine ski slalom at the Beijing Winter Olympics, the highest ever in Korean Olympics. Jeong Dong-hyun, a gold medalist at the 2011 Astana-Almaty and 2017 Sapporo Asian Winter Games, holds the highest ever Korean score by placing 14th in the 2017 Zagreb competition at the International Ski Federation (FIS) World Cup. 스포츠토토
The first place in the women’s slalom event (Czech Republic, Zelinkova Adriana) took first place with a time of 1 minute 37 seconds 96. Kim So-hee (High1 Resort 26) took second place with a time of 1 minute 38 seconds 69.
The Far East Cup will be held on the 6th and 7th of this month at Yongpyong Ski Resort in Gangwon-do for two days of giant slalom.
